We Refuse Abuse Fundraiser - Capital Family Law Group

Founded and created by Lilian Agwu-Ibeh, a survivor, We Refuse Abuse Inc. is a 501C3 Non-profit organization that was started to advocate against domestic violence. We Refuse Abuse Inc. seeks to empower, inspire, and educate individuals through stories of survival and raise awareness about the impact of domestic violence on families, communities, and society as a whole. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the lack of funding from the county, We Refuse Abuse Inc. is struggling to provide support where it’s needed this year. That’s why our team at Capital Family Law Group is supporting their fundraiser this holiday season so they can continue helping domestic violence survivors going into the new year.

We Refuse Abuse Inc. reaches out to those in need in and around the Rockville community to help provide education, job placement, and emotional support for survivors of domestic violence. Some ways the organization reaches out to those in need and spreads awareness about their work is through their “We Refuse Abuse Magazine” print and online publication, social media, community events, and word of mouth from family and friends. Lilian also visits local shelters and schools to advocate against domestic violence.

We Refuse Abuse Inc. relies heavily on the generosity of local members of the community to keep their important work going. Our lawyers often see the issues that come with domestic violence in our work, and we feel called to do our part in supporting those in our community that are working to help survivors of domestic violence. If you are fortunate enough to be in a place this year where you feel comfortable giving to an important cause such as this, please consider donating to We Refuse Abuse Inc. This fundraiser will be active through January 31st, but the sooner we can raise the needed funds, the sooner the team at We Refuse Abuse Inc. can continue their work. With your help, we can make a real difference in our community and help domestic violence victims. To donate, please visit their GoFundMe page.
